On monday, october 10th, 23 motivated high school students and their teacher Inga Niederhausen from the Albert-Einstein-Schule in Schwalbach am Taunus, Germany, visited our institute to discover more about the daily life of a research chemist as part of their trip of their advanced chemistry course to Vienna. During several demonstrations and a lecture, they got acquainted with the principles of catalysis, working under inert conditions and several analytic methods, such as NMR spectroscopy and GC-MS. We hope this was an inspiring experience for the students.
