In our group, no day is the same and when you enter the lab in the morning, you never know what will happen. While we always hope that our catalysts are the reason for a (positive!!) surprise, equipment can also be the reason for a drastic change of plans. Last week, two of our glovebox-prinsesses, Sisi and Andraste (equipment that you see more than your partner should be named) demanded immediate attention. Part of doing research is adapting on the fly and so it was that our group-members became real glovebox-doctors. Luckily, both patients could be saved and are ready to assist us in our air- and water-sensitive chemistry.
